Who we are and what we do. . .



Early Intervention Services and Consulting was started in 2003 after I moved "back home". My oldest nephew had just been born and, after a few years in an administrative position in the Kansas City area, I was ready to move closer to my nephew (and the rest of my family of course) and get back to working directly with kids and families. I love what I do and am fortunate to get to do what I love. Seeing children grow and develop. Seeing families learn new ways to interact with their children. There is no better feeling. Early Intervention Services and Consulting provides special instruction services through the Missouri First Steps program, private pay services based on a sliding-scale fee, consultation services, and training and education services. Working in a rural area of Missouri where other services may not be as readily available. Working to ensure all children and families have access to high-quality services.



Jenn Coleman
Early Intervention Specialist



Jenn has been providing early intervention services since 1996. She has a Master's Degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders. Jenn started her career in Texas before moving to Missouri in 2000. She then started Early Intervention Services and Consulting in 2003. Jenn has over 20 years of experience working with children and families. She has specialized training in the areas of autism, sensory processing, prenatal drug exposure,and trauma informed care.


Jenn is highly involved in her church, teaching preschoolers and kindergarteners. She loves sports and watching her nephews play baseball, basketball, and football. Jenn has two dogs - Brownie and River.
